Before you leave town, call Card Protector’s Travel Information Service to request information on your intended destination. Get medical information (required immunizations, etc.), weather information (what to pack), currency data, government travel advisories, customs information, information on political conditions, and more.

Don’t worry if the loss of your cards has left you away from home without funds. At your request, we will wire up to $1,000, in Canadian funds to a location close to you. To qualify, you must be at least 160 km from home and reported your cards lost or stolen to Card Protector. The cash value of the transfer will be loaned to you, interest-free, for 30 days. Thereafter, the amount of the funds transfer will be charged to a credit card you designate at the time of the request (usually one we have on file).

Tag your luggage with luggage recovery tags to help identify it in case of loss. Call Card Protector to request up to two tags at no extra charge.

Don’t worry if you’re traveling and need to get an emergency message to friends or family. Just call Card Protector and give us the names of up to 3 people in Canada you’d like us to contact. Then relax. We’ll make up to 3 attempts to reach each of them and pass on your message.

Need to stay in touch with home when you’re away? Card Protector unique Travel Voicemail service answers the call. We’ll set up your own confidential voice mailbox for you and others you designate to access, toll-free, within Canada and the United States. Anyone who needs to stay in touch with you can leave messages … and you can leave messages for them. It’s easy. You’ll have up to 30 minutes of messaging for a full month.

If you become stranded away from home after losing your cards, and have reported the loss to us, we will arrange for pre-paid airline ticket(s) to be waiting for you at the nearest airport. To qualify, you must be at least 160 km from home, and reported the loss or theft of your cards to Card Protector. The cash value of the tickets will be loaned to you, interest-free, for 30 days. Thereafter, the cost of the ticket(s) will be charged to a credit card you designate at the time of the request (usually one we have on file).
