Back in April when Toronto and several countries were plagued by the SARS epidemic, Lama Tashi Dondrup called upon his students to begin chanting the ‘Heart Mantra’ of the Medicine Buddha. Lama set a goal of chanting one million of the Medicine Buddha Mantra by August to be dedicated to all beings who suffered from SARS. Thanks to the collective effort of students from Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia, we reached the one million mark long before August. 

             Lama Tashi would like to celebrate the completion of this meaningful activity with you.  We are hosting a dinner on the auspicious day of the Medicine Buddha according to the Tibetan calendar.   Whether or not you have participated in the chanting of the Mantra, please come and share the merits and blessings brought forth by this dharma event.  It will be a fun-filled evening with good eats; mix and mingle; video movie show; lucky draws and prizes.

May the blessings of Medicine Buddha bring good fortune and freedom from all sickness, demons and suffering to all beings.
