| Basic Will Preparation Perhaps one of the most essential services included in
LegalSense is a Basic Personal Will preparation. You may want to be sure that your assets
will be received by your chosen heirs, avoiding any disputes over property. Depending on
Provincial laws, dying without a will might cost your surviving loved ones money that you
want to be theirs.
A Basic Personal Will does not include complex trusts,
or estate planning necessary for federally taxable large estates, or transfer of business
assets or a living will. It will include normal bequests and will provide a simple support
trust for minor Children as part of the will.
For you and your spouse at no extra
cost
As a Member of LegalSense, you and your Spouse are
entitled to one Basic Personal Will, each which can be reviewed annually and updated,* at
no extra cost. Call the Customer Service Centre to request your Will Certificate.
After receiving your phone call, we will send you a
brochure describing basic guidelines to help you understand what is involved in preparing
your Will and a Will Certificate. The Will Certificate will enable you to visit the local
law firm identified on the Certificate for the preparation of your and/or your
Spouses will(s). This important service is provided as part of your membership in
LegalSense at no additional cost.
If you require more extensive estate planning, call the
Customer Service Centre for a referral to a lawyer who focuses on estate planning. These
lawyers will extend to you the 25% discount for their fees, which must be paid by you.
With LegalSense, you and your Spouse are entitled to
have Basic Personal Wills drawn up by a LegalSense lawyer at no extra cost to you.
* As agreed to by you and the Referral Lawyer. |
